We celebrated my sister's 70th Surprise party at Banana Leaf Kitsilano and everything went flawless, they even helped make the surprise that much stronger. Barry and the staff could not have been nicer and attentive to all of us. The food was wonderful and came out timely one delicious dish after another. Highly recommend!

Oh what luck we had on finding THIS restaurant for a lunch!!!!! The food IS the best and, it is really nice and clean as well! ! Once again we have found a WONDERFUL place to eat and we WILL go back! Very fair pricing- and wonderful portionsFrom their great selections on the menu first, we tried some drinks -great-SO good- like a triple layer coffee, a wonderful lemonade type as well. Then we ordered Kai Si "hor fun"-which was chicken prawn noodle soup! HOLY-it was DELicious! and the broth was just so excellent all the way through..it was packed with chicken etc, and WHAT a flavour!!We then shared Roti Canai- so light and flaky- and delicious dipping sauce! We ended with their lightly fried bananas and ice cream..GEEZ it was ALL SO good! the waitress was VERY pleasant- and the SUPER manager Barry there made us feel very welcome and HE brought us some of our soup- SO attentive and something you DON'T often see! We can't wait to go back! If we hadn't been invited out for dinner-we wanted to try MORE! VERY FAIR pricing and generous portions as well!

Seriously one of the best restaurants, I have tried while on my stay in Vancouver. From simply stepping inside the restaurant, you’re welcomed by a delicious aroma that denotes what is yet to come. The food, service, drinks, and overall environment of the establishment exceeds all expectations. I cannot recommend this restaurant any higher than I have tried to explain in this review. You must simply try it for yourself— you won’t be disappointed.

Very good restaurant! Staff are very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious! Most plates are available in small or large sizes, with the picture of beef rendang curry attached showing the small size. The roti pictured is 2 orders of roti on one plate, but it was still plenty for the three of us that were dining. My wife is from Brunei, really loved all the options available here, and was even sending pictures to her parents because she liked it so much! We definitely will go again next time we're in Vancouver

Great vibes, delicious food and fast, efficient service. The place is very spacious and decorated well. The food and service, however, were the highlights of the meal. We didn't leave a single grain of rice on the plate. Everything came out very quickly and was cooked to perfection. The seasoning was light and allowed the deep flavours from good quality, fresh ingredients to shine through. Also, the servers were so attentive - eyeing the dining room like hawks and giving the customers everything they need. It was a joy to see the teamwork and efficiency of the serving team, really great job.

Amazing tasting menu! Stopped in last night and our server was able to fit us in the private room in the back which was quite nice. We ordered the 11 course tasting menu and it was more food then we could finish. I found the tasting menu to be a good value given the number of items and the seafood included. All of the food was fresh and fragrant, my favorite dish was the sablefish. I tried to get photos of all courses but, the service was faster then the camera. I have been to many other Banana Leaf locations and this was the nicest I have seen. I would recommend checking them out.

We went there today after searching for a good place to dine. This is a little gem restaurant with some excellent tasting food. We ordered a lot of food and all turned out to be excellent. The taste is amazing, and orders came almost right away and in an orderly fashion. I don't like it when restaurants wait and bring everything together at the same time. This way, you have time to finish one before other food comes.

Excellent servives, I would say it is as good as Top Of Vancouver. The food is amazing, reasonable price, romantic environment. The waiter and waitress are always smiling, and showing a passion in serving customers. !! They deserve more tips!!
